A New Kind of Bread Gives You the Power To Help Lose Weight and Fight Cancer

In the past several years, health food advocates have beat up on bread.

As it turns out, eating this kind of bread may knock out both concerns without issue.

Introducing “Keto Bread”

Keto bread is a new kind of bread that people who adhere to the ketogenic diet invented so they could have one of their favorite foods without sabotaging their health goals.

The ketogenic diet has gained a ridiculous amount of popularity as of late because thousands of case studies show it to be one of the most effective diets ever for stripping body fat from your body while improving various other health issues.

Keto bread is a unique kind of bread in that it’s made mostly of fat, some protein, and little carbohydrates (recipe at the bottom).

This is what helps it aid in weight loss and cancer prevention.

When a person eats a ketogenic diet, their body switches from using glucose (sugar) as a primary form of energy and begins to burn fat instead.

A person who eats a ketogenic diet enters a physiological state called ketosis, where dietary fat is converted into energy.

When all of the dietary fat is used up (which happens since most people who eat a ketogenic diet are in a caloric deficit most days), the body will then release stored body fat to continue its normal function.

This release of body fat for energy production often will lead to drastic reductions in weight.

In addition to helping lose fat, the ketogenic diet emphasis on high fat and reduced protein intake will help prevent the formation of cancer.

While protein is essential for growth and maintenance of many bodily functions, too much protein may hurt the body.

Research indicates that protein switches on a biological switch called mTOR that facilitates growth all throughout the body.

If a person’s diet contains too much protein, it may cause cells to become cancerous and grow in an unrestricted fashion.

If, however, protein intake is decreased, then the body will use the available dietary protein conservatively, and this could prevent cells from ever becoming cancerous.

Keto Bread – Tasty And Easy to Make

If you’ve ever wanted to try the ketogenic diet and don’t want to miss out on your favorite foods, then you’re in luck as keto bread is tasty and easy to make.

Here’s the recipe from Dr. Axe.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1½ cups almond flour
  • 6 egg whites (NOTE: this recipe does not call for the yolks)
  • ¼ teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 3–4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • ¾ teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons coconut flour

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 F.
  2. Add the cream of tartar to the egg white mixture and, using a hand mixer, whip the eggs until soft peaks are formed.
  3. Add the almond flour, butter, baking soda, apple cider vinegar, and coconut flour to a food processor, blending until well-incorporated.
  4. Place the mix into a bowl and gently fold in the egg white mixture.
  5. Grease an 8×4 loaf pan and pour in the bread mixture.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes.
  7. *Note: can use 3 teaspoons baking powder instead of ¾ teaspoon baking soda and 3 teaspoons apple cider vinegar*
